[Link sees the message and reads it. It's short and simple, but the fact that Ginko didn't send an audio message makes Link think it must be urgent. He pecks out his answer on the keyboard. Audio might be faster sometimes, but if he kept the messages short he could do it this way.]
[Probably not no. Link's too confused now to spend forever typing out a whole question, so there's a delay before the reply. When it arrives the message is delivered with Link's most stern serious business voice.]

I'm not sure. There does seem to be some sort of fog involved, but it's not the usual kind. It's only in a few areas.
I'm fine - I've managed to stay out of the way. Working on helping with people who've gotten out of the affected areas - actually, more help with themmight be appreciated.
[Because if Link is helping with the injured, he's less likely to put himself in danger. Right?]
[Ginko jumps a little and turns to the door, then sighs and stands up. He opens the door a moment later, his leafy tail lashing back and forth in his ongoing anxiety.]
[Link doesn't make a move to come inside. He's gotten himself a new sword and it's held loosely in his left hand, already unsheathed. Other than that though, Link shows no signs of having already gotten into any skirmishes.]

[He's got half a plan worked out in his head and needs to know how to make it work the best he can.]
[Link doesn't really answer the question. Instead he scuttles past Ginko, peering around for an open area of floor. Once he's found some he summons a mushroom circle there then turns back to face the nymph again.]
This is my Bavan circle, I've got one in Concordia which I think is probably safe, and I'm gonna fly to the clinic so if you....
[Link trails off. If Ginko could go get injured people and bring them to his apartment, Link could warp them to the clinic as soon as he sets up a circle there. But he really doesn't like the idea of Ginko being the one in charge of getting people out of danger. From what Link knows about him he's pretty bad at that. Maybe he could take Ginko to the clinic too? He could help people there, and Link would be the one going against the angry mob of fog crazed beasts. He likes that plan a lot better.]
... stay here. I'll come and warp you back as soon as I get there.
[Link's frown is predominantly concern, but also a little annoyance. He wants Ginko to help, he really does, but a nymph with hair thin vines venturing out into the street is even worse than a troll who can't punch to save his life. Especially because the nymph also can't punch to save their life. And has no weapons.
It's just really clear to Link that if anybody's fit to go out rescuing people, it's him not Ginko.]
...Alright, yeah, I did, but you're here now. And so am I, and there isn't much to be done about either of those. And since I am here, I'm not going to hide in my apartment for hours when people are getting hurt.
[Link fidgets. His antennae waver while he considers his options. He glances at Ginko, then out the window. There's really not much he can do one way or another besides make his trip as short as possible.]
Mmmm...Okay but, be careful.
[There's a beat, then Link thinks of something.]
Do...do you want my sword?
[It's a very serious offer. It might be small for Ginko, but even a short blade would be better than none, and Link won't need it while flying to the clinic. He's not super keen on the idea of being separated from his sword, but Ginko really is pretty helpless like this.]
Thanks, but no; not sure I could get much use out of it, anyway. And I'm planning on staying out of the affected areas themselves if I can, so... hopefully it won't be an issue.
[Hopefully. Link lets out a breath slowly through his nose, but nods, turns, and heads out the door.
He makes good on his promise, and it's only a few hours before Link teleports back to Ginko's living room. He's hoping Ginko is sitting patiently on his couch with some people or monsters who need help, rather than being hurt himself, or worse not being there at all.]
[Fortunately, he's there and apparently uninjured, though there's nobody with him. Instead, he's typing at his RSDOS, glancing occasionally between it and Link's circle - and jumping a little when the faerie is suddenly actually there.]
[When he sees Ginko's safe he braces his hands and knees and takes a minute to catch his breath. He's panting hard and despite the cold outside he's sweating. Whatever the equivalent of sprinting was but for flying, he'd been doing that.
He straightens up after a few moments, words still a bit breathless.]
[Ginko stands up from the couch to stand by uncertainly while Link catches his breath, his vines reaching out to pat light at the boy's head and antennae. He nods, his ears giving a relieved twitch.]
